SEVEN

Well here we are. Seven days.

A week from now I will be resting at St. John's Mercy holding a little newborn. It's kind of hard to believe that the moment we've been thinking about for nine months is finally here. And let me belt out a nice big...

HALLELUJAH!

It's no secret. I'm not a fan of pregnancy. I will say again that this go-around was easier than Christopher's. But boy am I ready.

Brian and I were getting ready for bed last night and I had to apologize to him. I said, I'm sorry I'm not one of those women that say, Oh, can't this last just a little longer? I wish he would stay nice and comfy for a few more weeks.

Umm... no. Not me. Let's get this show on the road. I may not be prepared for the sleepless nights and I know my days are going to be longer but I'm ready for a Jack and Coke and a night without heartburn.

Love ya little Carter, but it's time to move on.

Besides, if this doesn't happen in the next week I think Christopher will believe we made the whole thing up.

AND IT BETTER HAPPEN NEXT WEEK. The forecast is so unpredictable these days. We were suppose to get five inches of snow today - we got two. And now they're calling for snow on Carter's birthday. Of course that was what they said five minutes ago. They keep changing it.

But trust me - I will carry a bag of salt and shovel snow all 10 miles to the hospital if need be. This shindig is gonna happen.

Speaking of the hospital, people have been asking if we're allowing visitors. Where it stands now, the answer is yes - we'd love to have visitors. Brian is planning on taking the big day off but then he'll be back to work Wednesday so he can have following week off when I come home. So Wednesday through Friday I may be a little lonely and company would be nice. Please don't hesitate to call and come by.

Thank you to all of our friends and family who have wished us well the past nine months. I'm excited that Carter's time is finally here and can't wait for everyone to meet him.

Here's to one last week of a chaos free home and all the oreos I want without complaint.
