The Big "SC"

Uncle Super Chicken met Mr. Carter for the first time two weeks ago. Actually, Carter's first smile was when he was looking at his uncle the night he met him. I know, I'm a little late with the a picture of the pair. But that's because I haven't taken one til now.  What's funny about this picture is that two seconds after it was taken Carter was kind enough to initiate Uncle Super Chicken into to the Daniels' household by vomiting down the front of his shirt.

In case you haven't heard, Uncle Super Chicken is moving into the spare bedroom for a few months. While we know it's going to be a tight squeeze in this small house, Brian and I also know that we'll have a free babysitter for a little while. That is, after we show SC the ins-and-outs of babydom. He's already been puked on. Now we just need a little diaper changing and feeding lesson and we should be good to leave Carter in the hands of his uncle for a maximum of fifteen minutes.

I only say this because the last time I left Christopher alone with his uncle for more than thirty seconds, I came back to find Christopher crying after running head first into a wall. Granted, he was barely a year old, and maybe he's accident prone anyway. (Christopher, not Super Chicken.)  Now that I think of it, we'll probably have to work our way up to those fifteen minutes in small increments over a period of time.

I'm not trying to diminish the fact that SC is a great Uncle. Christopher absolutely adores him. That's probably because Uncle Super Chicken allows Christopher to walk all over him. Figuratively and literally.

I think I'm going to stop writing this post now. Prior to this post I was very excited about the possibility of leaving the house kid-free in the near future and I feel like I'm now talking myself out of it. I'll keep you posted.
