I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once and a while, you could miss it.
Our youngest (for now) just turned three. It's insane to think of three years ago. THREE YEARS. I know every parent says when their kid turns two they are no longer a baby but I really think that happens at three. At three they are finally mini-humans. They can walk, feed themselves, and most importantly - talk back. And by that I mean, think for themselves. They are mini humans who have finally come into their personality we've been seeing hints of for the past 1000+ days.
Carter is a boy of imagination. At any given time he is riding his horse, Bullseye, through the wild-wild-west. The next minute he is a school teacher. Yesterday he was Santa. And tomorrow he'll probably be an astronaut. Carter's imagination may be the one thing I love most about him. He never gets bored. And I never have to find things to entertain him, he is constantly inventing new ways to entertain me.
Beyond that, he is amazingly kind. He doesn't want to see anyone upset. He will always give an apology before having to be asked. And if it means giving you his last M&M just to keep the fake pout off your face, he will. He is the start of a new generation of gentlemen.
I love this kid more and more every day. I can't wait to see what the next three or even 30 years will bring.
